Tour of the property
On four acres of land half a mile from the centre of Thenay, a market town, the buildings form a kind of private lane.
On one side is the main house – a longhouse dating back over a century and a half.

The Pommes de Pin (Pine Cones) and Epis de Blé (Wheat Ears) rooms are located in this part.
On the other side, a tastefully restored late 19th century house is where you’ll find the two family rooms: Fleurs de Printemps (Springtime Flowers) and Feuilles d’Automne (Autumn Leaves).
In the longhouse, a separate room is available for use by all guest room occupants so you can meet up easily, perhaps in front of the fire to play games or watch television.
You’ll also find extensive information on the region as well as a library.

Breakfast and dinner are taken – and evenings around the table d'hôtes spent – in the conservatory, in the owners’ dining room or, in summer, on the patio.
The heated conservatory offers a 180° view of the park.
Attached to the longhouse, but separate, is the Four à Pain (Bread Oven) cottage.
The grounds are wooded, and suitable for walks or for relaxing near the two ponds, the larger of which contains an island, reachable over a footbridge.

You may also use the heated swimming pool. Opening hours and access conditions can be found in theInformation section.

Also available are:
A bowling area
A children’s climbing frame
A table tennis table
Various outdoor games
Tables and benches on the lawns, around the ponds and on the island, allowing you to fully appreciate this magnificent environment.
If you wish, we can also provide fishing rods for the well-stocked (private) ponds.
Adults’ bikes (deposit required)
A lock-up garage for your own bikes.
A laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier is available for occupants of the cottage and guest rooms. It also contains a small refrigerator and a microwave (convenient for baby bottles in the morning!).
Raku-ware pottery/ceramics classes are held in a separate barn overlooking another area of the garden.
